SLJ Building Bridges

 I created a bridge with shapes around me.

First I put 8 books down as a triangle shape.

Next I put 3 book on top of the books.

Lastly I put 1 book on top to see if the bridge could hold.

I enjoyed this activity because I like seeing if things can holds diffrent objects. Also I could not screen shot because it did not work.

SLJ Boat Challenge

 I created a boat that can float with rocks on it.

First I grabed 3 cylinder and glued them all together

Next I cut some thin cardboard and put it on the top. 

Lastly I gathered some rocks to put on the boat.

I enjoyed this activity because I like building and then testing things that I have built.

Commenting

 I commented on Sahil's blog post.

The comment was abot his poetry.

I liked this activity because I like sharing my feed back to my classmates

Poetry Recount

 I completed a task about poetry.

First I took a photo of my self.

 Next I found photos that look like my memories.

Lastly I thought about all the memories I had through my summers.

I enjoyed this activity because I like summer because I like spending family time

 

Plants

I Planted spinich seeds.

First I poked a hole for my plant to go in. I watered on top of the plant for my plant to start growing.

Next I watered the plant half way up.  

Finally I made sure my plant had a lot of sun and water.

I did not enjoy this activity because  our plants had fungus and mold in them. They may have had bacteria introduced by our hands trying to measure the plants or bacteria in water bottles that we used to water our plants. 

Spinach Information

 Spinach is a vegetable that can only grow in cool weather.

Spinach needs cool climates to grow strong and healthy.

For spinich to grow well they need to be packed with nutrients and vitamins.

Spinach is commonly used in  European cooking.

Spinach contain 23 calories.

Line Art

Line Art is drawing lines to create a cool drawing.

First I created an eye looking line art it was challenging the first time I kept on trying. I had to write down some numbers and connet the numbers with lines

Next I created some star line art. It was really hard but then I knew how to do it 

Finally I created lots of shapes so it could fill up all of my paper.

This was challenging because I did not know how to draw some of the line art design.

Pot Plants

These instructions will tell you how to plant any kind of plant. 

Legionella longbeachae is a bacteria in the potting mix. If Legionella longbeachae  is inhaled it will cause trouble breathing and may cause death.

Materials

• Planter box 
• Seeds 
• Gloves
• Water
• Trowel
• Potting mix 

Steps

1. Grab a planter box

2.Put the potting mix in the planter box 

3.Poke a hole 

4.Put the seed in the hole 

5.Water the seed 

6.Make sure the plant has enough sun light.

Nerf Gun Shooting

 I collected information about who was the best nerf gun shooter.

First we ruled all the lines of where we were shooting and they were 1m, 3m, and 5m.

I thought from 1m I was the best because I used another shooting method. That method was kneeling. This method was easy because if I lined up my gun with the table I would hit every target.

I thought all of us were bad because most of us hit 1 target and some of us hit 0 target.

SSR Selfie

 I read all of Wild Discoveries by Sophie Fern.

I learnt that gardern snails are smaller that a land snail.

I also learnt that many anilmals look very a like

I liked this book because I got it from the hard pack and also the books are fun to read.

 I read 10 pages of The Brilliant World of Tom Gates by Liz Pichon

First I wrote about when Tom went to the movies with his friends then a big bang happened and a cat landed on Tom.

I like Tom because he protected his friends from the explosion.

Problem Solving

 I learnt how to problem solve.

First I did skip counting. I counted back in 9 times tables.

Next we did reapeted addition. I did 9+9+9=27

Then we did times table. We wrote 9x3=27

I enjoyed this activity because if I am a cashier I ned to learnt easy stratergy.

Acrostic Poem

 I learnt how to write a verb and turn it into a Acrostic Poem

First I had to think of a longer than 3 letter

next I figure out a sentence that was under roygbiv.\

I enjoyed this activity because I liked figuring out sentence that is under roygbiv.

Problem Solving.

 I learnt how to problem solve.

First I read the question to find the mathmatical equation. It is 32-13.

Next we solved the answer for counting back. We subtracted 10 from 32 which is 22 then we counted back from 22 until we got the answer. 

Then we solved the anwser to splitting. We wrote 32-10=22 then we wrote 22-3=19.

Finally we solved the answer to rounding and compensating. We wrote 30-13=17 then 17+2=19 then 32-13=19.

I enjoyed this because if my job is a cashier I need to learn easy stratergy.\

Typing

 I learnt how to write faster.

First I wrote with shift on. This was easy becasue I learnt how to write with my shift on.

Next I wrote puctuation. This was a bit hard but i got better and better even more I wrote.

Then I wrote sentences. This was easy for me because writing a sentence is easy to write for me.

I enjoyed this activity because this will help me with my writing.

   I read 30 pages of The Beast of Buckingham Palace by David Walliams

First I wrote about Nicolas went to the buckingham palace to ask the queen for some money so he could buy some food for his mum.

I like Nicolas becasue he wanted to help his mum.

SSR Selfie l Press Start Robbo Boy

  I read 30 pages of Press Start Robo Rabbit by Thomas Flintham.

First I wrote When Super Rabbit boy was challenged to finish a maze with lots of monsters in the maze trying to stop him. Then Super Rabbit boy found his way out of the maze and went back to his village that he was staying at.

I like Super Rabbit Boy because he had to go through all the monsters to save his village.

Basic Facts Boxes

 I completed a speed demon challenge. I did subtraction up to 10. I got 100/100 and my time was 3 minutes and 16 seconds.

I think this was to easy for me and I need to try a harder one next time.

  

SSR Selfie l Karearea

  I read 10 Pages of Karearea the author is Annemarie Florian.

Karearea's are New Zealand Falcon's Karearea habitat is trees, grass and forests

When the Karearea fly's too high they will faint and fall to the ground and will not be able to fly for a week

If they find a rat in the forest they will try to get the rat if they get the rat other Karearea might fight for it when they are flying.

I learnt lots of new facts like the female Karearea have dark brown feathers with a light brown head.
