Writing Explaination

 I learnt how to write a explaination.

The first introduction I wrote about was the basic fact. The basic fact is a text that tells you about what are you going to read.

The next introduction I wrote about was question hook. question hook is something hooks the reader in.

Then last introduction I wrote about was explain emotion. Explain emotion is writing something with an emotion like yummy, sweet.

I liked this activity because I got to learnt how to write a explaination and facts about engines. 

SSR Selfie - Ninja Kid 5

 I read 91 pages of Ninja Kid 5 by Thomas Flintham.

First I wrote When Nelson and Kenny  were walking back to his home and his grandma was a pro  mechanic person so she made lots of mechanical stuff but one day she made a clone for Nelson and Kenny and Nelson’s mum could not recognize who’s who.

I like Kenny because he was the best friend that Nelson had and he protected Nelson.

Length

 My group mathmaticians learnt how to measure.

First we used the ruler to measure small objects to big objects.

Then we took a photo of it and small objects to big objects 

I thought this activity was fun because we got to measure objects from small to big.

Basic Facts Boxes

 

I completed a speed demon challenge. I did subtraction up to 5. I got 100/100 and my time was 3 minutes and 16 seconds.

I think this was to easy for me and I need to try a harder one next time.

HPE

We learned how to balance while throwing and catching frisbees.

First we threw frisbees to each our partner and we tried our best to land without moving.

Then our partner called out go and we ran to catch the frisbee. We also tried our best to land in the a direction.

Lastly we played a game called ultimate frisbee with the skills we learnt. We got into 2 teams and threw the frisbee into the goal without stepping into the shooting circle and also their was 2 frisbees

I thougth this activity was fun because I won the ulitimate frisbee .

Maori

 We learnt the maori alphabet and people's names from maori to english.

First names we learnt are Irihapeti, Hakopa, Kararaina, Tarati which are Dorothy, Caroline, Jacob, Elizabeth.

Then we wrote our names in maori my name is Riley which in maori is Rirei.

I thought this activity was hard because I did not know a lot of maori the tools I used was maori dictionary.

 For inqury design a party popper.

First we talked about what our design was going to be on our party popper.

next we about all the parts in making a party popper.

Then we wrote about all the current design and what they are used for.

Then we wrote about a updated design. for our updated design we chose:

paper cup. We changed it into a paper cup because the plastic cup never vibrated for the confedi to explode.

Pokemon design. We used a pokemon design because it fit with our market which is gamers.

Rubber band. We left the rubber band because it did a good job on launching the confedi.

Yellow and orange confedi. We chose yellow and orange confedi because it matched our design. 

Tooth pick. We left the tooth pick because held the ribber band good.

Then we wrote about down about the reason why we change the design.

I thought this activity fun because we got to plan on making a party popper

SSR Selfie - Press Start Robbo Rabbit

 I read 30 pages of Press Start Robo Rabbit by Thomas Flintham.

First I wrote When Super Rabbit boy was challenged to finish a maze with lots of monsters in the maze trying to stop him. Then Super Rabbit boy found his way out of the maze and went back to his village that he was staying at.

I like Super Rabbit Boy because he had to go through all the monsters to save his village.

Maori

 Today we learnt some maori fruits and objects

We used maori dictionary to translate objects.

These are some words we used runga and raro which means up and down.

I thought this activity was fun because this will help me around the class.

Coding

There are 4 basic turns are 1/4  3/4 and1/2  and 1 whole. There are two more direction which are anti clockwise and clockwise.

Balancing

We learnt how to balance.

First we kept the ball on our tennis racket.

Then while being balanced we balanced while bouncing the ball.

Then in pairs, one threw the ball to the target whlie in a balanced way.

Lastly I sprinted torwards the ball trying to hit the ball over the net but also trying to balance.

I thought this acitivy was hard because I kept missing the throw to my partner.

Topic Plan

 I learnt how to write an explantion with a topic.

First we picked a topic that we want to write about.

Next we wrote three mechanism about our topic and have a information sorce.

Then we pick another topic.

I thought this was challenging for me because I only finished two and I was working on my third.

Basic Facts Boxes

 I completed the speed demon challenge. I got 100/100 up to 20 subtraction. My time was 3 minutes and 4 seconds. I think I need to be faster than 3 minutes.

SSR Selfie l Jedi Academy The Force Oversleeps

 I read 30 pages of Jedi Academy The Force Oversleeps by Jarrett J. Krosoczka.

First I wrote when Vctor has a fight with her sister Maya. Maya goes on stargram to see what's happening on hexday. Hexday was not great for Maya she was bullied for life and she broke her phone broke.

I like Maya because she stoodup for herself.

Movement

 Today I learnt three movements.

The first movement I learnt is rotate which means to turn.

The second movement I learnt is flip which means to flip something.

The third movement I learnt is Translations which means move or slide.

I enjoyed this activity because it taught me the three main movements.

HPE Balance

Today I learnt how to balance while doing a sport.

At the football station we tried to balance the football on our heads and juggle.

I thought the football was hardest becasue standing on one leg while trying to balance the football on our heads and juggling.

At the tennis station my partner threw the ball at the hitter. The hitter hits the ball at the thrower.

At the hockey sticks and ball station I rolled the ball to my partner. My partner hit the bal to me.

At the volleyball station we tried to do a dig and a set while balancing on one leg.

At the egg and spoon station me and my partner bent down and tried to let the spoon nearly touch the ground.

Maori

 Today we learnt some left and rights in maori.

I learnt how to say taha maui which means left.

I also learnt how to say taha matau which means right.

I thought this activity was fun beacasue I thought it could help me when playing a game.

Cause & Effect Introduction

 Did you know that fireworks were made out of dye with charcoal and a fuse with a string at the end therefore the firework whenl ignited will explode with colour.

Did you know that Chocolate is made from roasted cocoa beans and sugar Because the cocoa beans taste bitter  sugar will put the tasty flavor  that adds sweetness to the chocolate When they are mixed together they form a liquid. When they are  put in the fridge they set or harden in the shape that they are. For example  a star shaped mold will produce star shaped chocolate.

Introduction

 A introduction can have a intresting question or a hook.

First Mr Ogilvie showed us a video about how to write a hook and what is a hook.
Next, we wrote an introduction and a hook about three different topics.

Do you know there are multiple celebrations of chocolate each year. To make chocolate you will need milk, butter, suger and cocoa beans this can cause the chocolate to taste sweet and a lit bit sour and better.

Did you know that fireworks originated in China around 2000 years ago? you will need a fuse and a stick and a string this cause the fire work to go up in the sky.

Next time I will write a better introduction and add more writing to my introduction.

Main Ideas

The book Bright Fine Gold is about gold miners. People found gold in central Otago
